Statement of Faith

Spirits Redeemed Ministries

1. The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice.(“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” — 2 Timothy 3:16–17)(“No prophecy of Scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.” — 2 Peter 1:20–21)

2. God

We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the Creator of all things, holy, sovereign, and worthy of all glory.(“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.” — Deuteronomy 6:4)(“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” — Matthew 28:19)(“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” — 2 Corinthians 13:14)

3. Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins, rose from the dead, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return in power and glory.(“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” — John 1:14)(“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” — Isaiah 7:14)(“For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.” — 1 Corinthians 15:3–4)(“This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.” — Acts 1:11)

4. The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity who convicts the world of sin, regenerates, sanctifies, and empowers believers for godly living and service. We believe in His present-day ministry and spiritual gifts operating in the Church.(“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth.” — John 14:16–17)(“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses.” — Acts 1:8)(“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.” — Galatians 5:22–23)

5. Salvation

We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. All who repent of their sins and believe in Him are forgiven, justified, and made new creations.(“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.” — Ephesians 2:8–9)(“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” — Romans 10:9)(“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17)

6. The Church

We believe the universal Church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers. The local church is a community of believers devoted to worship, prayer, fellowship, discipleship, and fulfilling the Great Commission.(“For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.” — 1 Corinthians 12:12)(“And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” — Acts 2:42)(“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.” — Matthew 28:19)

7. Baptism & Communion

We believe baptism by water is a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ. Communion (the Lord’s Supper) is a sacred act of remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice.(“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” — Matthew 28:19)(“We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.” — Romans 6:4)(“Do this in remembrance of me.” — 1 Corinthians 11:24–25)

8. Marriage & Family

We believe marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God to be between one man and one woman. The family is the foundation of society and reflects God’s relationship with His people.(“Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” — Genesis 2:24)(“Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female?” — Matthew 19:4–5)

9. Sanctity of Life

We believe that all human life is sacred and created by God in His image, from conception to natural death.(“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.” — Psalm 139:13)(“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” — Genesis 1:27)

10. The Return of Christ

We believe in the personal, visible, and imminent return of Jesus Christ. He will judge the living and the dead and establish His eternal Kingdom.(“For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God.” — 1 Thessalonians 4:16)(“Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done.” — Revelation 22:12)

11. Eternity

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: the saved to everlasting life with God and the lost to eternal separation from Him.(“Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice and come out—those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.” — John 5:28–29)(“Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it... and if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.” — Revelation 20:11–15)

Our Commitment

We hold these truths with humility, love, and boldness, submitting to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. We commit to live out our faith through worship, discipleship, service, and evangelism—fulfilling the Great Commission and glorifying God in all things.

“Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” — 1 Corinthians 10:31
